Michelle Mirsky, DDS

Dr. Michelle Mirsky is a cosmetic dentist who had her professional training at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. Her undergraduate career was at SUNY at Stony Brook and graduated with a BS in biology with honors..After graduation Dr. Mirsky began her teaching career as the first woman faculty member in the Division of Restorative Dentistry, at Columbia . She combined her dental practice with teaching initially and then took time off from teaching to enjoy her dental practice and raise her 3 sons. In 2006, Dr. Mirsky rejoined the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine faculty until retiring as an Associate Clinical Professor. in 2020. She practiced with her husband, Dr. David Abelson for 42 years until his retirement in 2020. She continues to enjoy the practice of clinical dentistry and providing quality services while experiencing a lifetime of relationships with many of her patients.

Dr. Mirsky has lectured on cosmetic dentistry, dental photography and Invisalign, as an Invisalign certified provider, at dental study clubs and students at Columbia CDM. She was a board member of the The Columbia Alumni Association and then President of the Association.Currently she is a board member of the Columbia University Alumni Association, Columbia Arts Access, American Dental Association, NewYork Academy of Dentistry, American College of Dentists, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.When she is not working she enjoys travel, gardening and photography and her family.
